Silver Sun wheels
We extracted a sense of tension, balance, and suspended dynamism from the architecture of the Hanging Temple, transforming these qualities into a distinct and contemporary design language. The dramatic interplay between structural precision and seemingly weightless forms became the conceptual foundation of this project, allowing us to reinterpret traditional architectural spirit through a modern industrial perspective.
This series represents the first application of our organic geometric design language within automotive wheel design. By combining flowing, sculptural surfaces with sharp geometric structures, we sought to create a visual rhythm that feels both emotional and mechanical — soft yet powerful, futuristic yet grounded in craftsmanship. The wheel becomes more than a functional component; it evolves into a moving architectural expression.
Our exploration of this visual language began earlier in the Missmatch chair project, where we experimented with the coexistence of organic curves and geometric tension. Through that process, we discovered that these seemingly contradictory elements do not compete with one another. Instead, they establish a subtle equilibrium, creating a harmonious dialogue between fluidity and order, spontaneity and control.
In this new context, the language gains even greater energy and motion. The contrast between organic and geometric forms enhances the sculptural depth of the wheel, while also reflecting the evolving relationship between technology, design, and emotion in contemporary mobility.
