Fun of the city
This design intends to present the slow-pace everyday life of Suzhou citizens. Inspired by home-made poles to hang the clothes for drying, the designer works out a set of night /situation lights that can be assembled as one wishes. The idea of birds perching on the branch is inspired by the actual birds the designer saw on the bamboo poles for the wet clothes to be hung on.
The three common birds in Suzhou have been abstracted to become a colorful motif of Suzhou embroidery, standing on the bamboo knot peacefully to complete an interesting picture together with the simple bamboo tubes. The repeated reflection of the mirrors further creates an infinite continuation as if it were a bamboo forest
